Lenny the Beautiful Pit Bull Terrier needs a home

Beautiful Pit Bull Terrier that we have been fostering for a couple of weeks now needs a new home. Lenny’s people have moved to Florida and he couldn’t move with them. We would love to keep him, but it is doubtful that we will be able to integrate him into our current pack. Lenny is under training with Melissa Lynch of  Mountain High Dog Training, who is familiar with the breed and with our pack, so we can do what is best for all the dogs involved.

Lenny is 10 years old and has lived with the same family since he was 4 weeks old. He shared his life with one other dog friend, a female Corgi, which died in the last year and with a cat that has been re-homed. Since coming to us he has been on walks and rides in the car, both which he dearly loves. We are in the process of changing his diet to a much healthier one and he is adapting well. He currently resides in our garage, which makes me very sad, since we have not been able to integrate him into our pack. Although he has a TV, couch, and plenty of chew toys and bones, he deserves to be fully integrated with a forever family experiencing all kinds of adventure in his last years.

Attached a few pictures that do not really do him justice. He is brindle with white markings. He is a very sweet, smart boy that loves to chew (nothing inappropriate). He is very playful and in good health. He is not food aggressive, but I do not yet know how he is around other dogs, although I believe he will be fine once appropriate introductions are made and he has a chance to experience the outside world.

Thanks for any and all help in assisting me to find a forever family for this great dog.

I don’t understand how someone could have a dog for ten years then leave them behind.
Good luck Lenny! You’re a handsome guy!
