Sandi needs a new home….

HELLO!

My name is Sandi and I was literally thrown away by my previous owners. I thought they loved me? But in the middle of the night they left me at the end of a long driveway, on a deserted gravel road, next to some garbage cans in this tiny little box, I think you humans call it a “crate”?

All night I sat there, in the dark, in the rain, quiet as a mouse. Thankfully, the local bear didn’t eat me! Even more thankfully, a wonderful family found me safe and sound the next morning!!!

In disbelief, they read the note my previous “family” (if you want to call them that) left on my box. It simply said “My name is Sandi – please take care of me”. This new family immediately took me in, gave me water and a warm meal, which I loved, and then they gave me a bath, which I really didn’t like so much…..apparently I was “stinky?”. I have to admit that I did feel much better after the whole “bath thing” though.

I have since been to a really nice vet, who gave me a thorough check-up, and took some of my blood (ouch). From what I have overheard is that I am really healthy, have perfect blood results, and am about 8-9 years old. I know I am spayed (we women just KNOW that!) and am now current on my shots (again, ouch!)

I can’t always hear you, so you may have to speak up to get my attention. I am not a barker (what’s the point?) , and love to be brushed, petted and to go for quiet (ok, slow) little walks. I LOVE the car too!!

My “rescue” family says that they just adore me and would love to provide for me forever, but they have 4 other dogs, that if you ask me, are, um, well let’s just say, rather annoying. I want to be the center of attention, and those hounds keep interfering in my belly rubs! One of them actually tried sleeping on MY new bed the other night!! Imagine that!!

So I have petitioned for a family of my own!

I get along great with everyone and every animal I meet. I just want to love you!!

Thanks for reading about me and I hope you will call or e-mail about me!! You can reach Susan at: 425-788-8449 or email her at hunterdonfarms@aol.com or contact her through Cardiff’s Lodge at www.cardiffslodge.com
